"In the beginning..." (Gen 1:1)  How did it all begin?  Would you start reading a book by turning to the middle?  Of course not.  Yet many Christians do so with the Bible.  Join us for this discipleship strengthening time as we study and discuss the Biblical Creation account in Genesis.  Learn how the Gospel begins in Genesis and how the history of Genesis is foundational to the history of Jesus.  Understand how to give a reasoned defense for the historical-grammatical truth of the Bible, "In the beginning..." (Gen 1:1).  Contact Gary & Kathy Saucier at gksaucier@verizon.net.
I Saw the Lord – Isaiah 6
Mondays, ongoing

We need to understand what it means to overcome sin, not just struggle with it. The essence of authentic Christian living is to live on a day-by-day basis in the refreshment of His power and presence. In this DVD-based workbook/Bible study, Ann Graham Lotz, along with Henry Blackaby and Crawford Loritts, share the revival lessons learned through the examination of the lives of various biblical characters. Come join us as we learn to listen to the voice of God and experience an authentic, deeper, richer relationship with Him. Workbooks will be available for $9 at first class session. Contact Bill or Teresa Hense at b.hense@verizon.net.
Transformation – Changing the Heart
Wednesdays, January 20 – April 14
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm in J116

The Ultimate Journey (formerly known as The Christ Life Solution)
Classes beginning again in January 2010

Orientation January 10, 5:00 - 7:00 pm in Room A102 (Care Lounge)
What if you’re not really the way you’ve come to see yourself? What if you could fully lean on, trust in, and rely on Christ - living through you instead of striving to live like Him?

By the time we are five years-old we have developed most of the automatic patterns by which we will live our lives, and yet the most important chemicals for reasoning do not develop in us until we are around twelve or thirteen. So, very innocently, we develop a foundation of faulty thinking on which to base our lives. It’s the reason we automatically react to life the way we do. A love relationship with Christ the Messiah saves us from eternal death, providing the amazing, energizing power of the Holy Spirit—the life of Christ living through us! However, most of us, if we are honest with ourselves, return to a form of being the god of our lives again—only papering over the old patterns with new Scriptural ones.

The Ultimate Journey is a process of deep discipleship begun in three 12-week classes:
Phase 1 – Unpacking Self-Deception: Trading self-deception for God’s perception of you
Phase 2 – Abandoning Self-Reliance: Trading self-reliance for dependence on God
Phase 3 – Trading self-identity for Christ-Life in you

For more information on The Ultimate Journey, visit The Christ-Life Ministries website, www.christlifesolution.org. For more information on The Ultimate Journey at Bent Tree, contact Saralyn Morris at TheUltimateJourneyDFW@verizon.net . The Ultimate Journey is open to anyone 18 and older.

As parents, our deepest desire is to raise children who succeed in life. This is also our greatest challenge. How can we foster traits such as honesty, compassion, and dedication in young minds? How can we raise children who love and serve God as adults? Please join our Kid’s Pastor, Monte Slaver, for an eight-week study as we talk about how you can see your child as God created them and consider some key biblical understanding that will help give you and them the best chance of a sincere faith.  For more information, please contact Subi Samuel at ssamuel@btbf.org or 972-428-1317. Cost: $15 per family. register   childcare
