Stephen Ministry Training
Thursdays, August 26 to December 9
6:30 to 8:30 pm in J109
Cultivate and use your gifts of faith, mercy and encouragement as you listen and walk beside a person during a crisis.
Find all aspects of your life enriched by the distinctively Christian care-giving skills you will learn.
Experience great joy as you see God working through you to bring hope and healing to a hurting person.
Grow spiritually as you experience the Lord's loving presence in community with other Christian care-giving Stephen ministers.
Some of the topics in this 15-week training will cover listening skills, identifying emotions, providing spiritual care, confidentiality, grief and giving care in a "Distinctively Christian" way.
Stephen Ministry training will start August 26. A one-on-one interview with a Stephen Ministry team member is a prerequisite before the beginning of the first class.
