| The Benevolence Ministry processes requests for assistance made by members of the Bent Tree body who are experiencing financial hardship. James 2:14-16 is the ministry focus. “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him: ‘Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?” (NIV)
The purpose of the Benevolence Ministry is to be generous and helpful in meeting unusual or unexpected short-term living expenses of Bent Tree members and regular attendees that cannot otherwise be met. The ministry values scriptural guidelines regarding accountability for funds. To ensure we are being good stewards of funds graciously provided to support the ministry, we carefully assess and prayerfully address specific financial needs of all seeking assistance. This ministry also values confidentiality. All requests for assistance and personal information are shared only with limited ministry team members. For assistance call Michelle Harrell at 972-306-4477 or email mharrell@btbf.org. The Benevolence Ministry is supported by donations from individual church members who wish to share their God-given blessings. To donate to the Benevolence Ministry account, call the church office at 972-306-4477 or email sbuckler@btbf.org. |
