Kidz Land (birth-age 2)

Kidz Land is a place where babies can feel safe and experience God’s love through the love of our servants. Nothing is more important for a young child than beginning to understand who God is and how we are a part of a much larger picture.

In a small diaper bag, please include the following:
- Two or three disposable diapers
- A complete change of clothes
- Pacifier or other item, should your child need it for security
- A bottle of milk, formula, juice, or water (a good practice even for babies being nursed)

 

Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class.

 

We offer Cheerios to our Crawler, Wobbler, and Runner classes. If there is an allergy, please let us know. We do not offer peanuts or products made with nuts and ask that you do not send anything with those contents due to potential allergy problems.

 

Saying good-bye
After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for the worship service or class.  As you probably know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent.  This does not last long and separation becomes easier over time.  Our teachers will immediately try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return after the worship service is completed.

 

What happens if my child continues to cry?
If your child cries more than about 15 minutes and cannot be comforted, you will be paged, using the pager issued at check-in. In addition, the security number on your child's security tag will be flashed on the screens in the Worship Center.

 

Wellness policy
We operate a well-baby ministry.  For the protection of all children, our ministry must decline admission to children with the following symptoms: runny nose, fresh cold (4 days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea and any other signs of illness. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our nursery a healthy place for all.

 

Our nursery classes - the Infant, Crawler, Wobbler, and Runner classes - are developmental. When your child reaches a new stage, just check in at your current classroom and let the teacher know that your child has started crawling or walking. The teacher will fill out an "I've Graduated" card, and your child will be promoted for the next Sunday.

Playground
Our toddler classes may visit the playground on a rotational basis.
