Celebrate Recovery

Who needs Celebrate Recovery?  Anyone who has "had enough" of living under the burden of hurts, habits, and hang-ups and wants to experience the happiness described by Jesus in Matthew 5:5-12.  Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program to help people overcome their hurts, habits, and hang-ups.  The format of the weekly meetings is praise and worship, fellowship, a message of testimony on one of the "Eight Recovery Principles," and small groups.

The "Eight Recovery Principles" are rooted in the teachings of Christ .  By working and applying these scriptural principles, we begin to grow spiritually and become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors.  The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to join in fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives.  We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another.  In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving the problems we all face.

Life Hurts God Heals

Life Hurts God Heals (LHGH) is for students who have experienced pain or addiction including: drinking, cutting, pornography, eating disorders, troubled family dynamics, etc.

If you are familiar with 12-step programs (i.e., Alcohol Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, etc) then you understand the basic structure for Life Hurts God Heals. However, Life Hurts God Heals is an 8-step group targeted specifically for students in middle school through college age and is based on the beatitudes from the Bible. This curriculum provides lifelong tools for students dealing with unresolved hurt and pain. It was written by John Baker, Doug Fields, and Megan Hutchinson as a result of seeing the unmet pain of students in their youth ministry at Saddleback Church.  current class schedule
