Who am I?

I am the beloved, priceless daughter of my loving heavenly Father!  Although I am single, my family includes my sweet mom, my constant canine Cocker companion, Freckles, and godly friends who love the Lord.

My Story

My spiritual life began on August 12, 1970, when I trusted in Jesus Christ as my Savior at a youth meeting in my hometown of Southampton, Pennsylvania. My first experiences with teaching, evangelism, Scripture memorization, group life, and serving others occurred during my formative years as a new believer and led me straight into Bible college when I graduated from high school. After college, I taught elementary school for almost a decade before entering Dallas Theological Seminary. In June 1993, I became part of the staff of Bent Tree.

My Journey

Two words describe my spiritual journey – grace and revival. During my seminary years, my mentor Dottie taught me about God’s grace and lived a life of grace before my eyes. My heart’s desire is to live fully in the grace and love of my Father! In 2008 after 15 years of church ministry at Bent Tree, God sent His Spirit to revive my heart and return me to a life of worship and prayer. I am grateful beyond words for His sovereign act of rescuing me from spiritual numbness and leading me to deeper intimacy with Him.

What I Do at Bent Tree

As the church has grown and I have matured, the elders have allowed me to leverage my pastoral leadership in various areas. At present, my role on staff is to lead our church’s efforts in global missions and to help our church truly become “a house of prayer for all nations.”
