Lean In
In what areas of life is it okay to just do the bare minimum? Why is that okay? In these areas, can the people around you tell that it’s just the bare minimum? What does just doing the bare minimum say about a person? Anything?
Look Down
Ephesians 1:1-2
How does Paul introduce himself? Why is this important? Who are the “saints,” and what does that term mean?
Look Out
Pastor Pete told us that the “irreducible minimum” was defined in the description of the saints – the faithful in Christ Jesus. What does that mean for people today? What would the irreducible minimum look like in today’s churches? What kind of spiritual maturity would you see in people living this way?
Look In
On a sliding scale, how close to “irreducible minimum” would you place yourself? What would be involved in taking a few steps beyond the minimum in your spiritual walk? What are the obstacles you face when considering those steps? What tangible benefit can you imagine in your walk with God as a result of moving a bit further beyond where you stand now?
